Giant Gromit sculptures set to go under the hammer live from Hong Kong!

rt bidders from around the world will have the chance to buy one of 70 unique decorated giant sculptures of world-famous animated character Gromit, when they go to auction tomorrow in Hong Kong and online!

The eclectic array of highly covetable Gromit sculptures, each sporting a brand new look and individually decorated by an array of top designers, celebrities and international brands, will go under the hammer in Hong Kong on 25 September at Sky100, ICC, Kowloon.

A live stream of the auction will be broadcast online at www.gromitunleashedhk.com enabling people across the globe to take part in the unique event and the bidding is now open online for pre-bids ahead of the 25 September auction date. All proceeds from the auction will go towards Art in Hospital in Hong Kong and Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal in the UK, which supports Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Wallace & Gromit fans and buyers will get the chance to bid on a range of sculptures, including new designs by Wallace & Gromit creator Nick Park, world-renowned milliner Philip Treacy,  famous Hong Kong celebrities, designers and stylists from the world of fashion and beauty, along with artists, illustrators and musicians.

The Gromit Unleashed Hong Kong auction follows ‘The Greatest Dog Show on Earth’ Hong Kong exhibition held at ELEMENTS this July and August. The showcase of giant Gromit sculptures was a hugely popular attraction and celebrated the bond between Gromit and Hong Kong audiences, featuring a display of 5ft and 3 ft high Gromit sculptures on an ornate, two-tier carousel and a centre-piece 4m high Gromit sculpture, which will return to Bristol after the event.
