the feature film department is located in a dedicated studio in a second location in bristol. it develops and creates feature films in partnership with Dreamworks, with whom we have a world
wide distribution deal.

Aardman’s first feature film, Chicken Run, directed by Peter Lord and Nick Park was released in june 2000 by Pathe in the UK and European territories and by Dreamworks in the rest of the world. Chicken Run generated $224m ticket sales worldwide, £29m was from the UK box office.

currently in production is the first Wallace and Gromit feature film following on from the success of Nick Park’s Oscar winning films a Close Shave and the Wrong Trousers.

the film has been in development for four years and will take over 18 months to shoot. a crew of over 200 people are involved in the production covering every aspect of the film making process, from the modelmakers and animators, set dressers and art directors to story artists, directors of photgraphy and editors. the film will be released in autumn 2005.

three other feature films are currently at various stages of development.
