Aardman Animations and Comedy Demon partner up on new commission
Tuesday 8th July 2008. Aardman Animations and RDF have teamed up to co-produce an exclusive short animated film for Comedydemon.com, the new online comedy portal from RDF Digital, part of the RDF Media Group, it was announced today.
Aardman and RDF will create a cutting edge comedy film aimed at the 16-35 year old online audience. Aardman Animations is opening it up as a short film competition to its employees; the winning idea will launch exclusively on Comedydemon.com.
In addition, Comedydemon.com has licensed rights for content from the Aardman archives to be streamed as short-form clips on the site, including Wallace and Gromit, Creature Comforts, Rex the Runt, A Town Called Panic, Morph, The Adventures of Jeffrey, Stuff vs Stuff, plus seven other licensed short films.

Comedydemon.com is RDF’s first direct-to-consumer content business, offering TV and online comedy as streamed short clips and full length programmes via download-to-own. It aims to be one of the UK’s premiere comedy sites, featuring full-length episodes of the nations favourite comedy shows, blistering live nights from top stand ups, exclusive interviews, live comedy footage and blogs.
