Full Time: 37.5 hours per week, 9.30am – 6pm

CGI Department: Aardman’s CGI department is principally involved in the production of commercials and branded content. Other areas of engagement include VR experiences, short films, and visual effects.
The Role: The Technical Director will contribute to the wide range of work produced within the CGI department, employing their broad skillset to create CG effects, solve problems, and tackle artistic challenges. Working with project directors and supervisors they will ensure high artistic and technical standards are achieved in tasks such as Effects, Shading, Rigging, Rendering, Modelling, and Camera Tracking.
We’re looking for an experienced CGI Technical Director with excellent technical and artistic skills in Houdini and Maya alongside excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Candidates with exposure to ancillary tools such as; Speedtree, PFTrack and/or experience with real time engines such as; Unity/Unreal – would be a bonus.
For this role, you will need excellent time management skills and the ability to learn new skills and tackle unexpected problems independently. Candidates must be highly motivated and enthusiastic and we’re looking for a strong team player with outstanding communication skills.
