The Aardman Academy was established in 2013 to help meet the growing demand for animators in the UK, and to strengthen the ties between the animation industry and education. The flagship Certificate in Character Animation Course is run in partnership with the National Film and Television School, and we are constantly developing new courses to meet the needs of animation students, professionals and academics, across all disciplines in the animation industry.
A full list of courses we are running currently can be found here. If you would like to talk to us about a course you’d like to see, for you, your students, or to discuss potential collaborations to support the wider industry across interactive, filmmaking and cross-industry skills then please do get in touch Academy@aardman.com
We are working directly with a number of industry-led work placement & internship schemes, further details can be found here: NFTS.co.uk We’re sorry to say that we are unable to offer any work placements or internships to anyone not involved with those schemes.
We will occasionally have other trainee positions or work placement opportunities for applicants over the age of 18, dependent on our production schedules. We will advertise these opportunities on our website as they arise.
Unfortunately due to the huge number of enquiries we receive, we cannot reply to individual queries about work experience, internships or volunteering.
