11-11: MEMORIES RETOLD LAUNCHES AHEAD OF WWI CENTENARY
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe is pleased to release 11-11: MEMORIES RETOLD, a narrative-driven, WWI experience created in collaboration with Aardman and DigixArt, available today for Xbox One, Playstation®4 and PC.
11-11: MEMORIES RETOLD is an emotional adventure designed to retell the stories of life on both sides of the front lines 100 years ago. Players will control both Harry, a young Canadian photographer who has joined the war effort searching for adventure, and Kurt, a German engineer searching for his missing son.
The world is brought to life through a unique painterly style, whilst the combined voice acting talents of Elijah Wood and Sebastian Koch as Harry and Kurt, and an orchestral score from composer Olivier Deriviere, guide players through moments of both peace and despair.
“This is a very special game for a very special moment. Player will face choices, some with small consequences and some with big. This is a game about life during war, both on the battlefield and beyond” said Yoan Fanise, Creative Director of 11-11: MEMORIES RETOLD, DigixArt.
“We’re delighted to finally present players with the opportunity to experience the stories of Harry and Kurt on the front-lines during WWI” said Hervé Hoerdt, VP Marketing and Digital, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe. “This has been a passion project for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe and our partners Aardman and DigixArt. A result of our desire to connect more closely with players across Europe and create engaging, rich experiences that tell important stories – as well as entertain. We hope players enjoy playing as much as we have working together on this very important centenary project.”
“Creating compelling stories and evoking emotions, ultimately to affect people, is at the heart of everything we do at Aardman” said Daniel Efergan, Creative Director of Digital at Aardman Animations. “Put simply, 11-11: MEMORIES RETOLD is a story about two ordinary people – not unlike thousands of others from 100 years ago – thrown into an extraordinary situation.”
Players can also support charity WarChild via a paid-for-DLC, telling the story of two children, Jack and Eva, through a series of moving letters, drawing and photographs inspired by real life stories of children supported by the charity.
