Aardman create Hungry City game for Wellcome Trust initiative 'The Crunch'

This week Aardman is involved in The Crunch, a week of fun all about our food, our health and our planet. Created by the Wellcome Trust, The Crunch is an initiative aimed at taking a fresh look at our relationship with food and drink!

Aardman’s award-winning digital team have created the official game ‘Hungry City’, an exciting challenge for all the family. Can you save a whole city from hunger? Join Ethi and Cal in this tower defence game to help feed a city with delicious, healthy, locally grown food, and save the inhabitants from the Lord of the Fries!


Schools will receive free resources kits, packed with scientific equipment, teaching notes and activities. There’s even more online, with supporting videos, specially commissioned plays and further resources to help teachers and students explore the topics.
