Aardman projects win at #OSawards
The One Show Awards took place in New York on Wednesday 8th May, as part of The One Club For Creativity’s annual celebration of advertising and design, Creative Week. We’re delighted that two Aardman projects took home prizes, StorySign and BBC Two’s re-brand.
The StorySign app – a collaboration with FCB Inferno and the British Deaf Association for Huawei Mobile UK, which we developed and created accessible avatar ‘Star’ – won five awards, including Best Intellectual Property and Bronze for Innovation in Health and Wellness. You can read more about the project over on the Aardblog.
Just a day after winning Silver and Bronze at sister-ceremony the ADC Awards, BBC Two’s re-brand was given Gold in the Moving/Image Series category, and a Merit for Branding/Rebranding. Go behind-the-scenes on our role in the project with Aardman Creative Director Gavin Strange, here.
Other winners on the night were Spotify for its immersive ‘Bowie is Here’ subway station installation, and The New York Public Library’s ‘Insta Novels’ – which gave classic tales a modern day ‘reimagining’ on Instagram Stories.
