Farm Stay UK Launches Shaun the Sheep ‘Little Farmer’ Adventure Trail in Wales
One of childrens’ favourite farmyard characters, Shaun the Sheep, has joined forces with rural accommodation specialist Farm Stay Wales, part of Farm Stay UK, to help kids get involved with the great Welsh countryside this Spring introducing a new interactive farm adventure trail called ‘Ffermwr Bach’ (that’s little farmer in Welsh!).
Every family staying at Farm Stay Wales’s 100+ different member properties across Wales will receive free adventure packs to really help them bring their stay on the farm to life as well as keep them busy on rainy days, encouraging them to learn more about life in the countryside and head outdoors for a big gulp of fresh air.
What can ewe see on the farm ?
Aimed at 4-11 year olds, the Little Farmer pack encourages children not to be ‘sheepish’ and get involved with the Welsh countryside with an interactive trail featuring Shaun, Timmy, Bitzer, The Naughty Pig, the Farmer and a host of Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep favourites.
Inspiring the whole family to embrace farm life with its farmyard-themed jokes, colourful illustrations and list of animals and objects to spot, everyone is urged to get up close to the animals, try food from the farm shop and look further afield for native Welsh wildlife; such as otters in Solva harbour or red kites soaring above the Brecon Beacons. The pack even includes arts and craft suggestions such as moulding your own farmyard animals, where ‘little farmers’ can win prizes if they upload pictures of their creations to social media.
The pack will be readily available to any families visiting a Farm Stay Wales property as well as available to download from the Farm Stay Wales and Farm Stay UK websites.
Sean Clarke, Head of Aardman Rights and Brand Development commented,
“Aardman are delighted to be working with Farm Stay Wales to bring Shaun and his friends back to the farmyard, ready to lead little farmers on a fun and interactive adventure in rural Wales.’’
