Asset Lead - Series
Start and End Date: 18th January 2021 – 2nd May 2022, but start date asap for additional work pre-Christmas.
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Depending on experience
Location: Remote working, but based at Aardman’s studio in Bristol when required, abiding to current Covid protocols & procedures.
We are looking for an Asset Lead to become part of Aardman’s first fully in-house CG/mixed medium series. The series will be 52eps x 11mins.
The purpose of this role will be to oversee the creation of characters, props and basic geometric backgrounds (for use to paint up in 2D), leading a team of modellers, riggers, and texture artists. Working hands on to create high quality assets to meet the creative vision of the Series Director within the technical specifications of the CG Supervisor.
The successful candidate will act as a key member of the CG team, ensuring the creation of all required CG assets to meet creative and production requirements.
You will have excellent problem solving skills and an ability to predict potential problems, with a strong attention to detail. We are looking for someone with experience working on a CG animation TV series, with excellent knowledge of Maya and Z Brush. You will have the ability to lead a team in a production environment and have a solid understanding of rigging and texturing.
