CG Supervisor - Series
Start and End Date: 11th January 2021 – 14th November 2022, but start date asap for additional work pre-Christmas.
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Depending on experience
Location: Remote working, but based at Aardman’s studio in Bristol when required, abiding to current Covid protocols & procedures.
We are looking for a CG Supervisor to become part of Aardman’s first fully in-house CG/mixed medium series. The series will be 52eps x 11mins.
The purpose of this role will be to provide CG Supervision on the series overseeing assets, layout, animation, and lighting and compositing, and being responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high quality CG content. This role will hold extensive engagement with other parties on the production team where you will openly exchange ideas, techniques and procedures to enhance the creative processes.
The successful candidate will guide the CG artists by providing clear direction and strong leadership, setting clear objectives, monitoring their process, progress, results, deliverables, and performance in order to meet scheduled deadlines. You will closely oversee and line manage the Asset Lead, Animation Director and Lighting/Comping Lead.
You will have excellent problem solving skills and an ability to predict potential problems, with a strong attention to detail. We are looking for someone with experience working on a CG animation TV series, with excellent knowledge of Maya and Arnold. You will have a strong understanding of CG principles and techniques and have experience handling multi-episode large scale productions.
