Watch all your favourite Aardman films this Christmas
We are delighted to see yet another cracking TV schedule of Aardman films, specials and favourite episodes to be broadcast for fans to enjoy over this year’s festive period. To make sure you don’t miss any of your favourite adventures over the holidays, we have compiled a full guide to help you plan your Christmas viewing.
First up to get you in the festive mood is the super-Christmassy movie, Arthur Christmas which will be televised on Channel 4 on Saturday 19th December at 5:40pm. Featuring the voice talents of James McEvoy, Jim Broadbent, Bill Nighy, Hugh Laurie and Imelda Staunton, the story of Arthur Christmas at last reveals the incredible, never-before seen answer to every child’s question: ‘So how does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?’
Later that evening you can catch Nick Park’s Oscar® winning Creature Comforts on Christmas Gold at 7pm with the channel offering up a Wallace & Gromit short every day in the run up to Christmas Eve, also from 7pm.
BBC 2 will also be airing the much-loved Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave at 11am on Christmas Eve, providing the perfect start to your weekend festivities.
The rip-roaring Shaun the Sheep: The Farmer’s Llamas half hour takes the pre-lunch top spot on BBC One this Christmas Day at 1.20pm, where Shaun and the Flock encounter some mischievous llamas in their latest adventure.
On Wednesday 28th December catch national treasures Wallace and Gromit in their big screen classic Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit which will be shown on BBC One at 10:30am, followed by Aardman’s very own great escape movie Chicken Run on Thursday 29th December at 10:50am, also on BBC One.
You can see all of your favourites return in Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers at 10:20am on Friday 30th December, BBC One and finally Aardman’s epic adventure on the high seas, The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists can be seen on New Year’s Day at 11:15am on BBC One.
